Can I submit an activity on behalf of a student?
While students typically submit activities themselves, there are scenarios where a teacher may need to submit work on a student’s behalf. This feature ensures that all student evidence is captured, even if the student is unable to complete the submission process themselves.
Before You Start
- Licensing: This feature is available for both licensed and unlicensed classes.
- Media Limits: You can attach up to 10 media files to a single submission on behalf of a student.
- Auditing: Submissions made by a teacher are identified in the system as "Submitted by [Teacher Name]" to maintain clear records.
How to Submit on Behalf of a Student
Teachers can initiate a submission directly from the activity management screen.
- Open Activities: Navigate to the Activities tab in your class.
- Select Activity: Click on the specific activity you wish to submit for.
- Choose Student: In the submission table, locate the student and click the Start Activity (or Edit Activity) button.
- Fill Details: Enter the title, post description, and attach any necessary media.
- Assess (Optional): Add proficiency levels to any curriculum tags associated with the activity.
- Submit: Click Submit & Next to finalize the submission and automatically move to the next student who has not yet submitted.

You did it! From here, use the arrows beside the student’s name to navigate between the remaining students that have not yet submitted the activity.

Editing a Submission
As a teacher, you have the authority to edit a student’s activity submission or their assigned proficiencies at any time.
- Locate Submission: Open the Activities tab and select the relevant activity.
- Select Student: Click on the student whose submission requires changes.
- Enter Edit Mode:
- Click the three dots (menu button) in the top right corner and select Edit submission.
- Alternatively, click the pencil icon (edit button) directly in the submission table.
- Save Edits: Once your changes are complete, select Save Edits in the top right corner.
Good to Know
- Drafts: If you start a submission but aren't ready to finalize it, the system will save your work as a draft.
- No Conflict Resolution: If both a teacher and a student are modifying a submission simultaneously, the latest version saved will be the one preserved.
- Navigation: After submitting for one student, you can use the arrows beside the student’s name to quickly navigate between other students in the class.
