How can I react to posts?

Reactions allow for easy engagement with your students: whether you are applauding their great work, celebrating an achievement, or simply marking that a post has been reviewed. This article explains how to add, remove, and enable reactions in SpacesEDU.

Adding Reactions

To add a reaction to a post:

  1. Locate the post in your feed.
  2. Click the smiling face button near the bottom left of the post.
  3. Select a reaction from the pop-up menu, such as a heart, checkmark, or applauding hands.

💡 Tip: You can add multiple different reactions to a post, but only one of each type is permitted per user.

Removing a Reaction

If you need to remove a reaction you have added, you can:

  • Click on the reaction icon where it appears above the reaction menu.
  • Open the reaction menu and select the same reaction again.

Enabling Reactions for Your Spaces

Using reactions is optional and they are disabled by default. You must enable them before students and family members can use them in your Spaces.

How to Enable Reactions:

  1. Click on the Class Name at the top left of your screen, or click the menu button (three dots) for a class on your overview page.
  2. Click Edit Class.
  3. Toggle the Reactions setting to the On position.

Visibility and Permissions:

Students and family members can add reactions to any post they are permitted to view.
