How can I share activities with students?

Once you have created a Class Activity, there are several ways to make it easily accessible for your students. Whether they are working directly within SpacesEDU or using external platforms like Google Classroom, sharing is simple and direct.

Before You Start

  • Student Access: Students can always find their activities by logging into SpacesEDU and clicking the Activities tab within their class.
  • Co-Teacher Access: Activity URLs can also be shared with co-teachers to give them direct access to specific activity details.

Sharing via Activity URL

Every activity in SpacesEDU has a unique URL that you can use to direct students or colleagues to a specific task.

  1. Locate the Activity: Go to your class and select the Activities tab.
  2. Click Share: Find the activity you wish to share and click the Share button.
  3. Copy Link: Select the option to copy the Activity URL.
  4. Distribute: Paste the link into an email, a messaging app, or your school's Learning Management System (LMS).

Note: When students click the link, they will be prompted to log in (if they aren't already) and will be redirected immediately to that activity.

Sharing to Google Classroom

If your school uses Google Classroom, you can post SpacesEDU activities directly as assignments or announcements.

  1. Select Share: Click the Share button on the desired activity.
  2. Choose Google Classroom: Select the Share to Google Classroom option.
  3. Authenticate: Log in with your Google account if prompted.
  4. Post: Follow the Google Classroom prompts to select your class and choose whether to post the activity as an Assignment, Question, or Announcement.

Good to Know

  • Redirection: Students using a shared link will always be taken directly to the specific activity, reducing the time spent navigating through the class feed.
  • Mobile Access: Students can also access shared activities through the SpacesEDU mobile app on iOS and Android.
