# October 2026 Product Updates

We hear it all the time: "I know great learning is happening, but how do I see the big picture?" This release is all about answering that question. From district-wide Portfolio trends to a quick check on who's turned in their work, these updates put the information you need right at your fingertips.

No spreadsheets, no digging, just clear answers so you can spend more time doing what you do best.

### Portfolio Insights

|| This feature is available to schools and districts licensing SpacesEDU Pro + Portfolios Add-On

Introducing Portfolio Insights, a brand-new dashboard that gives administrators a bird’s-eye view of Portfolio activity across their schools. See at a glance how students are engaging with their Portfolios and how they’re growing across your district’s competencies. 

With Portfolio Insights, you can:

* **See who's posting:** Track what percentage of students with Portfolios are creating Posts and compare engagement across schools.
* **Spot trends over time:** View Posts by month to see when students are most active and where engagement could use a boost.
* **Celebrate self-reflection:** See how often students are self-assessing their work, and compare posting and self-assessment side by side.
* **Understand growth by competency:** View the most common proficiency levels for each section or competency, including how teachers are assessing student work.

You’ll find the Portfolio Insights report in your Admin Dashboard under Reports. District-level admins will see data for all schools, and school-level admins will see data for their own school(s).

### Activity Completion Tracker

Who's turned it in? Who needs a nudge? 🤔 The new Activity Completion Tracker answers these questions in one place. Teachers can now see the status of every student's work across all their Activities, without clicking into each one.

With the Activity Completion Tracker, teachers can:

* **See every status in one view:** Quickly check whether work is Assigned, Late, Submitted, Reviewed, Resubmission Requested, or Posted.
* **Focus on what matters:** Filter by Activity or status to find exactly what you're looking for, such as all late submissions or all that have been reviewed.
* **Check in on engagement:** The "Last Active" column shows when each student was last active, with more detail just a click away.
* **Take it with you:** Export to CSV for your records or to share with colleagues.

You'll find the Activity Completion Tracker in the Activities tab of each class. You’ll also find it in your dedicated Insights tab outside of your class.

**Tip:** When you've finished reviewing a submission, select Post to Space. This adds the work to the student's Space, where students can look back on it and share it with their families.
