Students' linked family members can be notified when a new activity has been assigned in one of their classes, as well as for a number of other key events related to activities.
By default, these notifications are off, meaning family will not receive notifications of new activities, or other activity-related updates.
Teachers can configure their family activity notifications either when creating a class, or by clicking the class name at the top left of an existing class, then Edit Class.
From the class settings page, you can enable or disable a number of different options separately:
Teachers can decide whether families are notified when an Activity:
has been assigned to students
is approaching its due date and has yet to be submitted
is overdue and has not been submitted
has been posted to a space and is now visible to families
These notifications can help keep parents in the loop with their linked students' assigned and pending activities. Until the activity submission has been posted to a space, however, family accounts do not have access to view the activity details at this time.
Once an activity has been submitted and published by the teacher, the resulting post will be visible to linked family members, subject to the visibility settings for the space where it is posted.
Family members can control whether they wish to receive in-app and/or email notifications by:
logging in to their SpacesEDU account
clicking on the bell button near the top right to open the notifications panel
clicking the gear icon at the top right and updating the notification settings
