The SpacesEDU team is thrilled to announce some new updates for the new year. Our latest release includes a number of exciting new features and improvements. Take a look and see what we have in store for you!
Reporting Spaces - Pinning Posts
Every student’s Reporting Space should tell the story of a student’s learning journey that you’re looking to share. Now you can prioritize your top three posts within a Reporting Space to drive that narrative. Students and Families will be presented with those posts first as they dive in to learn more.
Reporting Space updates will be available to educators on the SpacesEDU Pro plan with Reporting Add-On.
Reporting Spaces - Download a Written Report
Looking to share a student’s Reporting Space summary as a PDF to your SIS, store it as a personal reference, or email it to family members that may have limited internet access?
Licensed educators using SpacesEDU Pro with Reporting Add-On features will now have the ability to download and print out the summary portion of the Reporting Space. This includes the Summary Statement and Areas of Learning.
Reporting Space updates will be available to educators on the SpacesEDU Pro plan with Reporting Add-On.
Student View
Learning a new product and how it fits into your classroom can be difficult, so it’s helpful to be able to see what your students can see from your Teacher Account. Now you can easily put yourself into their shoes with our latest update.
Teachers will have the ability to easily create a new student account and associate it to any of their classes. With just two clicks, educators will be able to switch between their accounts and view their classrooms as a student.
This is also a great opportunity for school-wide professional development - create a PD class and have all teachers join as students!
The Student View update is available to all SpacesEDU users.
Additional Updates
We also made a handful of smaller performance and quality of life improvements in SpacesEDU.
Send us a list of your students without emails to import to their school. Administrators will then be able to add those students to their respective classes [SpacesEDU Pro]
Increased indentation within Curriculum Tags to better understand the relationship between tags [All SpacesEDU users]
When the feed is being filtered by Curriculum Tags, we’ll order those tags first on the post as a reference point [All SpacesEDU users]
Within the web application, your session will expire after 2 hours of inactivity (This will not impact people using the mobile applications) [All SpacesEDU users]
Within the web application, we’ve added additional hover states on icons to provide additional information on features [All SpacesEDU users]
