How do I create a Space?

Before You Start

• A Class Space is already set up for you when your account is created. You don't need to create one manually.
• You can create additional 1:1 Spaces and Group Spaces at any time.

Creating a 1:1 Space

A 1:1 Space gives each student a private space shared only with you. You don't need to create a separate space for each student. Selecting all students creates an individual 1:1 space for each one automatically.

1. Click Spaces at the top of your screen
2. Click + Create
3. Select 1:1
4. Click Next
5. Select All Students or choose individual students
6. Click Next
7. Customize the Name and Description of your space
8. Click Save

Creating a Group Space

A Group Space lets a subset of students collaborate together. You can assign students to groups automatically or manually.

1. Click Spaces at the top of your screen
2. Click + Create
3. Select Group
4. Choose how to assign students:
5. • Automatically: select the number of students per group
   • Manually: drag or select students into groups yourself
5. Click Next
6. Review the list of groups and edit as needed
7. Click Next
8. Customize the Name and Description of your space
9. Click Save

To return to your main account homepage from inside a space, click the arrow button in the top left corner.

Good to Know

• Your Class Space is created automatically. You only need to create 1:1 and Group Spaces.
• Selecting "All Students" for a 1:1 space creates one private space per student in a single step.
