How do I create a Space?
Before You Start
- A Class Space is already set up for you when your account is created. You don't need to create one manually.
- You can create additional 1:1 Spaces and Group Spaces at any time.
- Want to learn the difference between space types? See What is a Space?
Creating a 1:1 Space
A 1:1 Space gives each student a private space shared only with you. You don't need to create a separate space for each student. Selecting all students creates an individual 1:1 space for each one automatically.
- Click Spaces at the top of your screen
- Click + Create
- Select 1:1
- Click Next
- Select All Students or choose individual students
- Click Next
- Customize the Name and Description of your space
- Click Save
Creating a Group Space
A Group Space lets a subset of students collaborate together. You can assign students to groups automatically or manually.
- Click Spaces at the top of your screen
- Click + Create
- Select Group
- Choose how to assign students:
- Automatically: select the number of students per group
- Manually: drag or select students into groups yourself
- Click Next
- Review the list of groups and edit as needed
- Click Next
- Customize the Name and Description of your space
- Click Save
Navigating Back
To return to your main account homepage from inside a space, click the arrow button in the top left corner.
