How do I add a co-teacher to my class?
Collaborating with other educators allows for shared planning and assessment of students. SpacesEDU enables you to invite co-teachers to your digital classroom, providing them with the same access and permissions as the primary teacher.
Before You Start
- Access Level: Co-teachers will have full access to the class, including student work, assessments, and class settings.
- Email Verification: Ensure you have the correct school-associated email address for the teacher you wish to invite.
- Account Status: The invited teacher will receive an email notification to join the class.
Steps to Add a Co-Teacher
Follow these instructions to invite one or more colleagues to your class:
- Log in to your SpacesEDU account and select the Class you want to share.
- Click the People tab located in the top navigation bar.
- Select the Teachers sub-tab.
- Click the Invite Teachers button.
- Input the teacher's email address.
- Note: Once you finish typing the first email address, an additional box will appear if you wish to invite multiple teachers.
- Click Add 1 Teacher (or the button reflecting the total number of invites).
Sent invitations will immediately appear in your Teacher tab with a "Pending" status until accepted.
Managing Sent Invitations
If an invitation was sent to an incorrect email address or is no longer required, you can revoke it:
- Navigate to the People tab and select Teachers.
- Locate the pending invitation and click the three dots (context menu) to the right of the email address.
- Select Delete Invitation.
- Confirm the deletion to immediately invalidate the link.
