How do students create their accounts?
This article explains how students can sign up for an account and join classes manually, if needed.
- Take a look at the article How do I invite students to join my class? for detailed instructions on how to invite students as a teacher.
- Students that have been rostered into classes with SpacesEDU Pro won't need to use a Class Code. They should see their classes automatically when they first log in.
- Signing up manually as outlined in this article requires students to provide an email address. Student accounts can only be created without an email using rostering.
- Validation of student emails is not required, so students can sign up with a fictitious email if necessary.
New Students
For students who have never created a SpacesEDU or myBlueprint account:
- Open one of the following URLs, depending on your region:
https://account.ca.myblueprint.org/signup - Canada / International
https://account.app.myblueprint.org/signup - United States
- Enter your email address
- You may be directed to a Single Sign-On login page for your school - if so, log in with your school username and password
- If you see a screen prompting you to select your account type, click I'm a Student
- If your school uses Google or Clever accounts, you can click one of those options at the top of the page
- Otherwise, enter your name and search for your school by name, then set a password, and check that you accept our Terms of Use
- Click Sign Up and start exploring!
Joining Classes
- To use SpacesEDU as a student, you'll need to join at least one class.
- After you've created your account and logged in, you may find that you're already in a class - if so, check the top left of your screen for the class name, to confirm if this is the class you're trying to join, or click the Home button to return to the main page
- From the Home page, click the Add Class button at the bottom right, and enter the Class Code provided by your teacher
- If you'll be using myBlueprint for education and career planning or course selection, you can click the top left of your screen to toggle between myBlueprint and SpacesEDU Classes and Portfolios
- Using myBlueprint doesn't require you to join a class, but you may already be associated with a class when you log in, or if your teacher provides you with a code to join their class manually, you can follow the same process as outlined above
- Either click the Classes panel on your myBlueprint Dashboard, or click the myBlueprint logo at the top left to switch to SpacesEDU, then click Add Class, and enter the code provided by your teacher
