How can I add Curriculum Tags to my classes?
Curriculum Tags allow educators to categorize and manage students' work in ways that align with structured goals and standards. SpacesEDU allows you to select from all the pre-defined sets of standards in the Common Standards Project, and it's easy to create your own custom sets, too. To begin using Curriculum Tags, you'll need to select a set of standards that you're working with. After you've selected a set of curriculum tags (or more than one), it's easy to jump in and start tagging your students' work. First, you'll need to identify which tags you want to focus on from the sets of tags you've selected. Yes! You can include Curriculum Tags as part of your Activities, and have them applied to your students' submissions. This is a great way to streamline the organization of your Spaces around the learning outcomes you want to prioritize. If you publish an activity submission as a post, the tags will automatically be applied to the posts as well. Activities send notifications to students and families of upcoming due dates, while supporting educators with tracking submissions and sharing personalized feedback. Reviewing activity submissions Once students have begun to submit their activities, teachers can add comments and assess proficiency levels. They will initially only be visible to you, the teacher, and to the student that submitted them, allowing you to provide formative feedback in a confidential forum, or request resubmission if necessary.
